ITE Inspire: Sheila D/O Manokaran
Co-founder, River Valley Irregulars

Sheila's experiences of overcoming academic stigma, financial and personal challenges to complete her diploma and degree have shaped her commitment to helping young people recognise their potential. Her time at ITE sparked a lasting interest in volunteering, leading her to co-found River Valley Irregulars in 2021. The initiative creates avenues for youths to discover their talents through experiential learning, mentorship, design thinking and career development. She also helped facilitate donations to ITE that benefited 13,500 students and remains actively involved in alumni engagement and youth mentorship.
Fellowship Goals and Aspirations
Sheila aims to revitalise the ITE Alumni Association Youth Wing by reconnecting younger alumni with the ITE community. As a Fellow, she plans to expand mentorship and volunteering platforms, encouraging alumni to share their experiences and serve as role models for current students.
