ITE Inspire: Derrick Lee Ming Yang

Derrick developed his interest in entrepreneurship early on and chose to pursue an ITE education after completing his N Levels. At ITE, he gained industry exposure through project work, hackathons, the WorldSkills Competition and other competitions. Before graduating, he had completed numerous freelance projects and launched five micro-startups. He subsequently co-founded Accredify, a technology company that has issued over 20 million verifiable certificates and processed more than 30 million verifications. Derrick was recognised on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list in 2022 and as a Singapore Leaders Network TECH Leader.

Fellowship Goals and Aspirations
Drawing on his industry experience, Derrick aims to strengthen the relevance of ITE’s IT training through industry input and mentorship. He also plans to bring ITE’s entrepreneurship clubs together through a Founder Day, where students can present their ideas and explore funding support.
