Mohd Fazri Bin Md Noor
Coaching Beyond the Pitch - Fazri’s journey as Youth Mentor

When Fazri first joined the New Life Stories' Family Strengthening Programme in prison in 2024, he initially observed quietly, taking time to understand the environment and gauge the dynamics within a class of seven participants.
These sessions were designed for parents in prison to learn parenting skills, self-awareness and communication skills. Over time, he began answering questions confidently and participating actively in sessions.
Under the guidance of the programme, Fazri was given the chance to express himself to his children by writing a heartfelt book for them and rebuild his bonds with them.
In mid-2025, Fazri was released after serving a period of more than five years in incarceration. Since then, he has secured full-time employment as an Executive Operations Manager in a shipping firm and has demonstrated remarkable personal growth.
Wanting to give back to society, Fazri decided to leverage his love for football in supporting youth at risk. He currently serves as President of Jurong City FC, where he channels his extensive football experience into mentoring youth and children from vulnerable backgrounds.

Working alongside former Singapore national players and seasoned coaches, he helps young individuals develop not only their technical skills on the field, but also the confidence, discipline and sense of purpose needed to shape a stronger direction in life. Under his leadership at Jurong City FC and with the support of New Life Stories, he also drives social initiatives, including a collaboration with New Life Stories to mentor, train and provide training equipment to youth and children from low-income backgrounds with an interest in football.
"In the past, I used my influence to bring the people around me down a bad path. Now, I want to use that same influence to lead them to a good path with more positive experiences".— Fazri
At 41 years old, Fazri stands as a powerful role model, showing that adversity can be overcome through resilience, determination and a commitment to growth.
