Teng Gives Back
Bringing comfort through music - uplifting spirits where it matters most

TENG Gives Back is a community outreach programme by The TENG Company, supported by President’s Challenge, that brings live music to vulnerable communities such as patients, seniors and caregivers who are unable to attend concerts due to physical or medical limitations.
For many in hospitals and nursing homes, opportunities for live performances are rare. Seniors with limited mobility, those undergoing long term treatment, and caregivers managing daily pressures often experience isolation and emotional fatigue. In these settings, moments of joy, familiarity and human connection can make a meaningful difference.

Since 2018, TENG Gives Back has worked with music therapists to bring thoughtfully curated performances directly into nursing homes, hospices and treatment centres across Singapore. More than entertainment, these sessions are designed to comfort, evoking positive emotions, supporting healing, and creating shared moments of warmth through familiar tunes.
Through a longstanding partnership with St Luke’s Eldercare, the programme has reached active ageing centres, senior care centres and nursing homes.
One session at St Luke’s Eldercare Residence at Ang Mo Kio left a lasting impression. Residents who had danced in their youth were so inspired by the music that they began moving once more. Staff joined in, the hall filled with smiles and laughter, and everyone shared the same rhythm and joy.
TENG has been a valuable partner to St Luke’s Eldercare. Their creative arrangements of timeless classics have resonated deeply with our elders, evoking both memories and emotions.— Shane Kwan, Lead, Community Partners, Partnerships at St Luke Eldercare
Beyond these moments, the impact runs deeper. Music stimulates cognition, encourages gentle movement, and offers emotional comfort. It is a reminder that dignity and delight can exist side by side.
Today, TENG Gives Back has reached thousands and continues to be warmly welcomed by the communities it serves. With your support, the programme can continue bringing music and moments of meaning to those who need it most.

About The TENG Company’s TENG Gives Back programme:
Vulnerable groups in hospitals and nursing homes in Singapore have limited access to live musical performances. The programme seeks to share the gift of music with patients, seniors, and caregivers who are unable to attend concerts due to physical limitations and logistical difficulties. Music evokes positive emotions and support the healing process among terminally and chronically ill patients, and those undergoing haemodialysis; and bring comfort, joy, and familiarity through refreshing tunes to long-term residents of community hospitals, senior care centres, active aging centres and nursing homes.
