Nur Syahidah Alim
Hitting the mark – Syahidah’s journey to the world stage

Born with diplegia, a form of cerebral palsy that affects her lower limbs, Nur Syahidah Alim faced physical hurdles from a young age. But beyond the pain and fatigue of walking or standing for extended periods of time, it was the emotional toll that cuts deeper. At school, she endured bullying and exclusion especially during sports activities with their peers because of misconceptions about her condition.
Yet Syahidah persevered. She became a world champion, a multiple gold medallist, and a proud representative of Singapore at the ASEAN Para Games, Paralympic Games, and the World Archery Para Championships.

There are many more individuals like Syahidah, waiting for their chance to shine. Your support for the President’s Challenge helps nurture these dreams and unlock potential where it matters most.
