Mithran
More than sight: A preschool’s lesson in empathy and resilience

Mithran was born prematurely with Retinopathy of Prematurity,a condition of underdeveloped retinas that caused visual impairment. Yet, he is an extraordinary boy who sees the world differently — through touch, sound, and heart.
Mithran’s life changed when Presbyterian Preschool Services (PPS) welcomed him through the Education Support Programme (ESP), an initiative supported by the President’s Challenge.
Through tactile schedules, braille learning, and one-on-one support, Mithran was finally able to experience school life alongside his peers.

Mithran’s story shows that inclusion benefits everyone. With the right support and care, every child, regardless of ability, can flourish, learn, and inspire others to see beyond limitations.
Together, we can build a more inclusive and caring community.
Your support makes stories like Mithran’s possible.
