Overview
President’s Challenge will support initiatives that develop talents and abilities across diverse fields — especially among those who have had to overcome adversity.
Eligible proposals can apply under one of two categories:
Eligible proposal categories
Category | Details |

Category 1 | Fund Quantum: Up to $100,000/year for up to 3 years For projects that meet the objectives of the President’s Challenge, have good project design and relevant team experience to address an identified issue or gap in the landscape, and require funding to pilot or stabilise and move to the next stage of growth |
Category 2 | Fund Quantum: Up to $300,000/year^ for up to 5 years For projects that meet the objectives of the President’s Challenge, have consistently achieved good results in addressing an identified issue or gap in the landscape, and have the potential to scale and become self-sustaining. ^Except for 4th and 5th year, where funding will be stepped down to $200k and $150k respectively to encourage entities to plan for sustainability. |
Eligibility criteria
You may apply if your proposal:
Is submitted by a charity with Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status. (For Category 1, interested non-IPCs may apply in partnership with an IPC)
Exclusively benefit the community in Singapore.
Is not a fundraising event, religious activity or faith-based initiative.
Demonstrates exceptional quality and a clear, measurable impact. (Priority will be given to such proposals.)

Project past performance | The project has consistently demonstrated good outcomes. |
Project impact | The proposal identifies suitable output and outcome indicators to measure the impact to the service users. |
Project sustainability | The proposal clearly articulates how the project will be sustainable beyond the funding period. |
How to apply
Applicants should submit the following documents:
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions (signed by the Executive Director/ Head of the agency)
Audited financial statements (past 2 financial years)
Project budget
Supporting documents such as theory of change, evaluation reports, user feedback, data from end users or partners, or case studies.
Application notes:
Only complete application with all supporting documents will be considered.
Each agency may only submit one application form per project, up to a maximum of three projects. If we receive multiple application forms from your agency, we will assess only the latest three application forms.
Applicants will be notified (actual date to be confirmed) if your application is successful.
