PRESIDENT’S CHALLENGE SOCIAL ENTERPRISE AWARD
We celebrate outstanding social enterprises (SEs) who have made impactful, innovative and sustainable contributions to our community. We hope these awards spark more individuals, particularly our youths, to develop business ventures that also serve social causes.

Social Enterprise of the Year: Kowabunga! Global Always, and in all ways, for the kids. Kowabunga! Global, made it their mission to nurture kids to be the best versions they can be by providing an eco-centric learning environment. On top of the subsidies given by the government, they also provide additional financial assistance to the students and staff that are from low-income households, making sure that no one gets left behind. | |

Social Enterprise Start-up of the Year: Insect Feed Technologies
Insect Feed Technologies is a biotech company that farms black soldier flies to produce animal feed animal feed that’s nutrient-rich, cost-effective, and a more sustainable protein alternative for the pet and aquaculture industry. On top of reducing food waste by feeding it to their insects, they are also committed to being an inclusive employer starting with engaging elderly workers who have been displaced by the pandemic for less intensive operations. | |

Social Enterprise Champion of the Year: Singtel
Singtel has made a strong impact in the start-up community. They have invested S$5 million in the Singtel Group Future Maker programme to support 26 local and 46 regional social impact start-ups that make a difference for the vulnerable in our community. They have enhanced this support by including a pandemic support track, additional grant funding, and access to mentorship and networking opportunities for start-ups with digital solutions that could further address social and healthcare issues created by the pandemic. |
